What tools, skills and techniques do you use in coaching?

My primary focus is to establish and maintain a trusted relationship in which we can be authentic, empathetic and show positive regard for each other, the organisation and the process.

I use a coaching model and framework that I developed, called DANCE, while studying coaching at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, in 2015.

This model is based on the humanistic, person centered approach and the systems theory. I will explain this coaching model to you in more detail, when we start working together.

I lean on a number of tools, skills and techniques to facilitate the coaching process e.g. active listening, a questioning framework, metaphors & analogies.

Where relevant, I also share value exercises, prioritisation exercises and some self-exploration exercises.
